GROWING STRONGER, MOVING FORWARD (ACCELERATE for 3rd Quarter and HEADWINDS for 4th Quarter)
The church of Spirit-filled disciple-makers of Jesus Christ always moves forward. Not because of man's great strategy and agenda but because Jesus is very much alive and at work today as He was two millennia ago. The Gospel of Luke and its sequel, the Book of Acts, are summarized as "Jesus' ministry on earth, exercised personally and publicly... followed by His ministry from heaven, exercised through His Holy Spirit by His apostles" respectively (Stott). This is one book that is still being written to this day. It awaits new chapters to be added as far as Christ's disciples, His Church, are Spirit-filled and led. In this series of Moving Forward, we will find the church ACCELERATE and sail through HEADWINDS in the power of the Spirit as it pushes its way to the ends of the earth. The church of disciple-makers should expect nothing less because the same Jesus who walked and worked 2000 years ago walks and works to this day through His Holy Spirit and by His disciples. So church, are you ready to move forward to walk and work with Jesus?
